Big thanks to them and big thanks to you !

You can rename the files in the content directory, so for example I use the following template

XX (DLC number) . Artist - Song Name

01.Lynyrd Skynyrd - Freebird.dat
02.Radiohead - Bodysnatchers.dat

etc.

Helps to see whether I'm missing any songs, which songs I already have, and will *certainly* help once custom songs start spawning.

Personally, I can't wait for people to start tabbing Metallica songs :D Maybe I'll work on some myself once the tools are ready.

That will be pretty useful, I'm sticking with the original names for now though, at least til we get all the ubisoft offerings

Personally i'll be doing Guns N Roses and maybe Marillion's Misplaced Childhood, I just loves me some Prog Rock ::D

I can help tab pretty much most of Metallica's songs if anyone needs the help.
I would LOVE to see some Slipknot, Stone Sour, and Bullet For My Valentine!

I love Bullet of my valentine too, but is a problem for rocksmith custom.

Bullet for My valentine uses Drop-C, and the game only allow Standar, EB, Open-G and Drop-D.

I believe it would be a matter of isolating what the game "reads" as i.e. Drop-D and making a new entry in that file for Drop-C.

Then again, I haven't programmed in ages xD

every time I think of custom songs, I just start thinking about the applications this could have as far as lessons go. Like people record audio instruction and then add in note/chord progressions to practice on. Set it up as a song the game will recognize and.... uh.. I was going to list the possibilities and my head exploded thinking about ways custom lessons could be made and uploaded for this. Seriously, this thing has the potential to change.. everything..

I agree, all that it needs is a good community to build things up. ::D

hey guys, thanks for everything, been a broke supporter since day 1 :D

anyways, with all the talk about tabbing songs for rocksmith..
don't you think it'll be better finding a way to convert Guitar Pro (midi) files to rocksmith's system?

doing that probably ensures that every song you ever wanted to play is already tabbed and ready, both for guitar and bass, and you'll just need to pair your wanted song with an mp3 and convert it to dat..

fun ^_^

You still need to sync the notes to the mp3, same for lyrics wich I think will be the most time comsuming task.
I'm trying to find some opensource tabbing software in C/C++ to extend into a Rocksmith custom song authoring suite.

I will talk to the guys in the google group once i find something to share.

Well, I have enough for ONE song in the morning. I'm either gonna get Iron Butterfly or Whitesnake. If Themperror is on Steam when I wake up I will gift one of them.
If I get more money in my PayPal account overnight, I will try and get a couple more. PayPal is holding $5 from me for some reason so if it goes through I can get more.
Enjoy the night....... ZZZzzzZZZ
